S Class submarines of the Royal Navy. These submarines were used in Home waters, Mediterranean and the Far East during World War II. Vessels in the class included HMS Safari, HMS Satyr, HMS Saga and HMS Sanguine - all are pictured below. |

HMS Satyr was launched on 28th September 1942. She was transferred to France and renamed Saphir from 1952 until 1961. She was scrapped in 1962 at Charlestown. |
