HMS Raleigh - Cruiser
Country : UK Launched : 28th August 1919
Beardmore launched this Hawkins class heavy cruiser on 28 August 1919, she entered service in the Royal Navy on 23 July 1921 and joined the British North Atlantic squadron.
On August 8, 1922, she ran aground at Point Amour in Forteau Bay, Labrador in thick fog. The ship remained hard-aground and upright for four years. During this period, removal of all salvageable items took place, and explosives destroyed the remains in September 1926.
