HMS Intrepid HMS Intrepid built by London and Glasgow at Glasgow and laid down in 12890 , launched 20th June 1891 and completed in 1894. served until 1906 when she was laid up before being converted into a minelayer. this work being done between 1907 and 1910. Became a depot shop in 1916-1917 moving in 1917 to the White Sea. lastly becoming a Blockship and was scuttled at Zeebrugge on the 23rd April 1918. Displacement: 3400 Tons (some of the class were wood and Copper sheathed for tropical service this increased weight to 3600 tons) Speed: 20 knots, Crew: 273 Armament: Two 6 - inch Guns Six 4.7-inch QF guns, Eight 6 pounder and One 3 pdr Quick Firing Guns. Four machine Guns. Four 14-inch Torpedo Tubes |
