Dummy Capital Ships.  List of dummy capital ships used by the Royal Navy during World War One.  These ships were ex-merchant vessels made to look like several of the navy's large battleships and battlescuisers.

Served from October 1914 to January 1916 when it was sunk as a blockship on the 1st day of that month.

Served from November 1914 to July 1915 until sold as oiler and renamed Abadol.

Ruthenia (ex - Lake Champlain)

Served from November 1914 to January 1916 until purchased as a water carrier.

Tyrolia (ex - Lake Erie)

Served from October 1914 to June 1916 until purchased as an oiler and renamed Saxol.

Oruba

Orion

Served from October 1914 to January 1916 when it was sunk as a blockship on the 1st day of that month.
